Description
Vasco Career College Medication Aide program prepares you with the basic of medication aide for CNAs and Caregivers. The course encompasses study of ethical and legal behavior for mediation aides, medication orders and documentation, dosage conversion, discuss drug interaction, contraindications, safe medication storage, safe medication disposal, common medications for the body systems. Students are required to successfully complete the didactics of 32 hours. Upon successful completion of the course with the appropriate number of hours required, in addition to a cumulative grade point of B (80%) in midterm and final exam, student will be awarded certificate of completion. No prerequisite is required for this course and can be taken in conjunction with other programs.
Admission requirements
- Applicants must be 18 years or older. All applicants must present either a State issued Identification card/driver’s license or passport.
- Must have a social security number, US Citizen or a permanent resident.
- Proof of High School Graduate/GED or a degree higher than High School Diploma
- Felony, drug, theft, and certain convictions are not allowed. Background check, and drug screening required.
- Physical exam, TB screening, and immunization as required by internship site
ASSESSMENT TEST
Applicants must pass English and Math proficiency test to obtain admission.
